Keep your head above water

Greetings,

So this is new.

I enjoy social media to a point. It provides a platform for a great many things. Unfortunately, it is also provides a hegemony for those who control the platform. Given that, I've chosen to create my own platform controlled by the hegemony of the compulsivegiraffe. I'll leave Facebook for the family and friends material and Twitter for those who want to rule the world in 20 second soundbites. I view "news" pages like Fox, CNN, MSNBC, et al as social media as well so like a standard FaceBook post, the reader perusing the "news" can choose to believe what they want. --side note: wouldn't it be awesome if actual people were as cool as their FaceBook pages?--

What does all of this mean? Nothing. So here is my blog. It will be chock full of things most people don't care about. But, you never know. You too might harbor a secret passion for poorly written films of the 1970's and if you do........you might just see a post on here someday about Airport 1975 starring Charlton Heston and Karen Black. Probably not but never say never.

Have fun. Look around. Leave comments. Argue with others. The goal is to launch one expounded thought daily. I also plan on asking others to contribute articles but for now, it's just going to be me.
